After completing a degree in Piano Performance at the University of Western Ontario, Logan went to London, England for his a post graduate degree in Advanced Solo Studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. While still completing his post-grad degree he was hired by National Theatre of Great Britain to work as a rehearsal pianist. In his early twenties he found himself working in a repertory company with some of the great actors of this generation: Nigel Hawthorne, Judy Dench, Anthony Hopkins, Daniel Day Lewis, Bill Nighy. For the next three years, he worked at the National Theatre, performing in numerous productions, soaking up the inspiring atmosphere of the National Theatre. He returned to Canada in 1990 and was hired by the Shaw Festival, where he spent nine seasons working at second largest repertory company in North America. He he began his conducting career as Associate Music Director on "A Foggy Day" and "She Loves Me".
He began working in the U.S. in 2004 as Music Director of the 25th anniversary National tours of “Cats”. He conducted the "Cats" tour for two years and was with them on the first productions in Mexico, Brazil and Chile. A high point was conducting the show in the 15,000 seat Auditorio National in Mexico City. He also conducted the “Crazy for You”, National tour and was Associate MD of the “Chicago" National tour. He spent two years as Music Director for the internationally acclaimed crossover artists "The Tenors", working with them in their formative years, and touring with them internationally before returning to Toronto to take the job of Associate MD for the Toronto production of “Jersey Boys”. Since moving to New York in 2010 he has been the Associate MD for the First and Second National tours of “Jersey Boys”, MD and arranger for the Off-Broadway hit “The Bardy Bunch”, Associate MD for the workshop ofBroadway bound “Superfly”, directed by Bill T. Jones. Broadway credits include: Keyboards for "Dr. Zhivago" and "A Bronx Tale" on Broadway. He was the Music Supervisor and Arranger for "A Christmas Story" the U.S. tour". He is Music Supervisor and Arranger for "The Bardy Bunch" - Off Broadway and the Mercury Theatre in Chicago. Most recently he was Music Supervisor and Arranger for “Christmas in Hell” which played Off-Broadway at the York Theatre in 2018 and Las Vegas in 2020. He has also toured as Conductor and Pianist for Rocktopia. Currently he is the Arranger/MD for “Rough Trade” a musical with indy legend Carole Pope. His first Musical “Fingers and Toes” was a hit at NYMF in 2010 and has had 4 subsequent regional productions. He is currently the Composer and Lyricist for “Love Goddess: The Rita Hayworth Musical”, Off West End at The Cockpit Theatre in London England winter of 2022. Most recently he had the honor of working with Tim Rice on his new musical: From Here To Eternity at the Skylight Theatre in Milwaukee.
